The iPhone allows me to print my photos right to a local network printer. HP and Apple has made this very simple. But, when I do print photos, I end up with a piece of paper with a photo printed on it.
The Postagram appĀ provides a service I use… I really do… to use my photos on postcards which I have sent to family and friends. The service is pretty simple so it’s quick to use and the deliver on the promise.
Upon launching the app, I choose a image from my Instagram online photos, add some text, add who the card will be going to and wrap it up by paying 99 cents. The service prints and mails a glossy black card with my text on the left half of the card and my image on the right. The image is still square and is easy for the recipient to punch out via the perforated edge and frame or put in a drawer… would anyone just take a print of my photos and throw them in a drawer? I actually use the app mostly when I’m traveling and have taken a picture of the surroundings I want to share. Emailing is fine, but everyone loves to get something in the postal mail.
